The Academy at Walnut Creek is a beautiful Montessori school educating children three years through five years nestled in an educational Pre-School for ages six weeks to two years of age. Educational assessments are conducted three times a year for ages three to five years. Our centers are clean, safe and well planned. Our administrators and teachers are responsible for ensuring this. Over 90% of our staff is First Aide and CPR certified.

Positive Guidance/Discipline

Our program is designed to encourage respect, independence, organization and self-control. We focus on positive reinforcement. We will help each child to understand what they feel and use appropriate methods to handle those feelings. When necessary, parent conferences may be requested.

Outdoor Play

Each room’s daily schedule includes at least two outdoor periods. The school is designed with three age appropriate outdoor play areas and one covered indoor area. Your child will spend delightful hours engaged in play.

Programs

Open House is held once a year for ages three to five years. At this time the children present their academic and art work. Time is made available for parents and family to visit with all staff members. School parties are scheduled annually for the months of February, April, October, November, and December. Parents are encouraged to participate by attending. We offer special programs such as Yoga, music classes, and physical education. Other special programs are offered for an additional tuition, such as gymnastics, and dance.
